It takes at least two strong men in the kitchen to be able to stir our cooking pots. Here you see one of the students stirring the “ugali” meal. This is similar to mash potatoes or cornmeal mush. It is made of grounded corn and water. It is served with vegetables and beans. Ugali is very nutritious and filling. The kids love it.
If you come to visit, you will have an opportunity to help stir 100 pounds of ugali flour for our meals.
